where to live....that is the question...

Mario seems to think our blog is not important until we actually get on the road. I, on the other hand, think picking an apartment and stressing about the move, is just as much a part of the process. This is the start of the whole adventure. And, I, personally, want you all to be a part of it every step of the way.

So, here is the apartment update. We've narrowed it down to four places. Let me tell you, this was not easy. I might later post a blog of all the BEAUTIFUL apartments we didn't take because of cost or lack of certain things. Boy were some of them beautiful.... guess that just gives us something to work towards.

Here are the ones in the running. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as we can't seem to make a decision. We are currently trying to figure out how to apply for them all and still end up with all of our money back. HA!

looking for a place

Sorry we haven't been able to post. There has not been much down time. Our flights were both hell. So Thursday was especially tough. I got fitted for my uniform. I can't even tell you how cute it is. Of course the sleeves & legs are incredibly long. I look like a little girl playing dress up.

Anyhow, the rest of the day was spent looking at apartments in Brookline. They were great but a little expensive. Mario finally got in and it was off to Cambridge to one last space with a nosy landlord.

Friday we went all over town seeing so many places it became a blur. It has become a question of modern fully equipped places outside the city or older places full of character with no space inside the city. It will be interesting to see where we end up.

Mixed in with all that, our lovely friend, Alex, has shown a great side of Boston, Salem, Saugus, and Beverly. They have these huge asian restaurants that are so themed, you would think it was owned by Disney. And the liquor stores are called package stores. And the city looks like a new place now that the weather is nice. New restaurnts have opened. Everything is so green. The Commons were so beautiful I literally cried.

I guess that's it for now. We are waiting for a train into the city to try again to find the perfect place. Wish us luck and see you soon!
